Welcome to CaseMirror
Thank you for being an early tester. Your feedback shapes the future of legal research.
Our Mission
CaseMirror exists to democratize access to legal information. We believe that the law belongs to everyone, and that understanding legal precedent shouldn't require expensive subscriptions or specialized training.
Our goal is to build tools that make legal research faster, more intuitive, and more accessible—starting with California appellate decisions and expanding to other jurisdictions over time.
Thank You, Alpha Testers
You're among the first to use CaseMirror, and your early feedback is shaping everything we build. Every bug report, feature suggestion, and piece of feedback helps us make legal research better for everyone. We're deeply grateful for your time and insights.

Known Limitations
As an alpha release, CaseMirror has some known limitations we're actively working to address:
Coverage Gaps
The database may not include all published California opinions. We're continuously expanding coverage, prioritizing most-cited cases and recent decisions.
Citation Linking
Some citation links may point to placeholder pages if the cited case isn't yet in our database. We're working to resolve these gaps.
AI Headnotes
AI-generated headnotes are experimental and should be verified against the full opinion text. Not all opinions have headnotes yet.
Search Quality
Search results may not always surface the most relevant cases. We're refining our search algorithms based on tester feedback.
Performance
Some pages may load slowly, especially for opinions with many citations. We're optimizing database queries and caching.
How to Provide Feedback
Your feedback is invaluable. There are several ways to let us know what's working and what isn't:
Feedback Button
Look for the "Feedback" button in the bottom-right corner of every page. Use it to report bugs, suggest features, or ask questions. You can optionally attach a screenshot to help explain what you're seeing.
For longer feedback or questions, email us at alpha@casemirror.ai.
